Accident & Emergency Radiology & Comprehensive Radiologic Pathology
Approvals: ASRT
Credit Hours: 24

Course Description:
Comprehensive Radiologic Pathology is a practical review of the common diseases encountered in daily practice. Review of major body systems with focus on anatomical structures, imaging considerations and radiographic findings.

Accident & Emergency Radiology focuses on common injuries and abnormalities that are frequently overlooked or misinterpreted as the student learns how to examine and accurately interpret x-rays. Each chapter focuses on the basic radiographs required, important anatomy, normal variants, a system for inspecting suggested views, types of injury, and ends with a summary of key points.

Course textbook:
Comprehensive Radiographic Pathology (4th Ed.), Eisenberg & Johnson AND Accident & Emergency Radiology: A Survival Guide (2nd Ed.), Raby, Berman & de Lacey.
A Radiology CME approved course.

Anatomy in Sectional Images I & II
Approvals: ASRT
Credit Hours: 14

Course Description:
Developing a strong understanding of anatomy in cross-section is essential for a successful career in radiographic imaging. This course introduces the clinical significance of sectional images and how they relate to effective diagnosis and treatment. Emphasizes the physical relationships of the structures presented in three ways - anatomical scanograms, patient scans with computed tomography images and magnetic resonance images followed with correlating line drawings. Part I focuses on the chest, abdomen, male and female pelvis. Part II focuses on head, neck, spine, and joints. Radiology CME credits.

Course textbook:
Introduction to Sectional Anatomy (2nd Ed.), Michael E. Madden, PhD.

Medical Techniques in Imaging & Radiography for Ltd. Prac. I Package
Approvals: ASRT
Credit Hours: 25

Course Description:
The package combines our Medical Techniques in Imaging Course (14 hours) with our Radiography for Limited Practice Course (11 hours).

Course textbooks:
Patient Care in Imaging Technology (7th Ed.), Torres, Dutton & Linn-Watson AND Radiography Essentials for Limited Practice plus Workbook (3rd Ed.), Long, Frank & Ehrlich

Radiographic Pathology for Technologists & Anatomy Coloring Workbook
Approvals: ASRT
Credit Hours: 25

Course Description:
Radiographic Pathology (Radiology CME credit) is helpful in enhancing the appreciation of radiography as an art as much as a science. The radiographer will review basic anatomy and physiology of the skeletal, respiratory, hepatobiliary, urinary, reproductive, cardiovascular, hemopoietic, central nervous system, the abdominal, and gastrointestinal systems.
The Anatomy Coloring Workbook provides the student with an active learning process. Throughout the workbook, the student is asked to participate - locating, identifying, and coloring in the structures you have been asked to find. This hands-on approach enables a better understanding of human anatomy by making the diagrams the central focus of the learning process.

Course textbook:
Radiographic Pathology for Technologists (5th Ed.) Mace, and Kowakzyk. AND Anatomy Coloring Workbook (2nd Ed.), I. Edward Alcamo, Ph.D.

Radiography for Limited Practice 1 and 2
Approvals: ASRT
Credit Hours: 29

Course Description:
This unique text focuses on practical skills and addresses all the fundamental topics of limited radiography.

Part I includes comprehensive coverage of x-ray science and technologies, equipment, radiation safety, radiographic anatomy and pathology, patient care, pediatric and geriatric concerns.

Part II of this course emphasizes ethics and legal consideration, safety and information control, medications and laboratory skills, and mathematics for radiographers. Provides an indispensable reference of topics for limited radiography. Text is perfect for practitioners.
